I asked for honey to be added as a sweetener, which also made the drink more flavorful. When initially drinking the golden chai, there is definitely a kick to it with the strong turmeric flavor, but after getting past the beginning, this drink tastes really nice and is very soothing. It did help reduce my sore throat, and is a good drink in general to help with your health, as well as to prevent or alleviate sickness. Towards the beginning of this semester, my throat was itching, and I thought it would be a good idea to have a hot drink like this one. One of the drinks that I have tried at Sowers Harvest Café is the golden chai, which is a milk-based drink made with turmeric. I usually get the kids version of the veggie pesto omelette, and this quantity is enough to fill me up for one meal. The orange slice has also always been very sweet, and I get the toast with butter. I have really enjoyed this omelette meal every single time I have gotten it! All the ingredients are clearly fresh, and it is made very well with the cheese melted perfectly. As can be seen in the picture, this dish comes with an orange slice and toast on the side. The eggs for the omelette come from a local Amish farmer in rural Pennsylvania, where the hens are only given non-GMO feed. ![]() The pesto is made fresh at Sowers Harvest Café, and is a combination of basil, parmesan, romano, minced garlic and pine nuts. This omelette contains various vegetables, including spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers, and onions, as well as cheese and pesto.
